Trick water skiing is quite a sight to watch, and an even bigger thrill to perform. With complicated turns and exciting tricks, trick water skiing is the penultimate challenge of the sport. If you’re in a competition for trick water skiing, you can win and lose points based on your performance.

The trick with trick water skiing is that you need to have strong core muscles in order to be able to adjust to the turns as well as the changing water.

Keeping your composure is also a good attribute to have as well.

With all of the variable present in trick water skiing, the athlete needs to be able to change their body as well as their performance if something should go differently than planned.

How it works

Trick water skiing competitions usually allow the contestants two rounds in which to perform as many difficult tricks as possible.

Each round will normally last twenty seconds and is judged by a panel.

If the trick water skiing panel decides that the tricks were performed adequately and within the time limit, points are awarded to the performer. It is good to note that the tricks performed need to be ones that are declared ahead of time.

Those tricks that are not performed correctly or within the rules will not receive any points.

After so many rounds in a trick water skiing competition, the points are added up and a winner is chosen.

Doing it on your own

If you want to get into trick water skiing, your best bet is to try to find a teacher that will guide you through the moves.

There are also many training videos available that you can watch.

Trick water skiing is breathtaking to watch, but getting the chance to compete for a prize is the ultimate skier’s dream.
